This is fake art. It uses expensive sets and interesting camera shots for no reason, just to make you think something artful is happening, but it's all just a meaningless aesthetic. It personifies the contemporary movement towards empty ideas which are dressed up to confer respect and consideration, but it's actually just a display of wealth and waste, and proof that most mainstream filmmakers should donate their budgets to people pursuing novel and interesting directions for cinema.
