I have a lot of complaints about this game but I’m gonna stick to the biggest one. So often during the main campaign you are cast into a realm or area that you cannot leave until you complete this multiple hour conquest. It takes away from the open world aspect and over all gives the game a linear feeling. It wouldn’t be so bad if the conquest made sense or were even doable but unless you spend days upon days farming gear and skill points you likely won’t stand a chance. For example when you are sent to Asgard in Valkas mission every mission requires ungodly strength and skill which most players won’t have this early in the game. And most importantly the boss fight against “The Lost Wolf” is the most bizarre and annoying boss I’ve encountered from any game. I mean a wolf that can burrow underground and throw rocks wouldn’t even make sense in the show Rick and Morty. But Ubisoft seems to make it there goal to give players an overall forgettable and underwhelming experience. And this isn’t only the case for Valhalla, I have been disappointing time and time again with many of their previous releases. Every game since Black flag has been a colossal disappointment. I would recommend this game only to those who enjoy free roaming around and exploring the world to their own will, but if you want to do this don’t follow the main campaign because it will leave you lost and confused about what is happening as you flail on the ground around high level enemies. I mean while fighting the giants in Asgard you’d think you could make quick work of them considering you’re surrounded by Norse gods such as Thor and Freyja but they will only sit back and laugh as you are picked clean by hoards of giants and wolves. You’d be better off playing a Viking simulator on roblox then waisting time on this game.
