Netflix has provided a public service with this documentary. Make it open for public access. Remove the barriers for the average citizen to see the reality of their government's actions. Where this documentary falls short is in demonstrating the negative impact of blurring the line between civil and criminal law. Immigration is a civil matter, being enforced in the US using criminal justice mechanisms. To fully understand just why this is dangerous, Americans need to understand and respect the difference between civil and criminal procedure.

Mediocre acting couldn’t save the incredibly incoherent storyline of this banal time waster. The story opens multiple plot lines, only to abandon all of them with no conclusion and the feeling of total confusion. Perhaps the screenwriters should have stuck with the tried and true source material instead of attempting to develop an overall terrible series from multiple books.
