Has all the elements for a fun and engaging fantasy story but lacks greatly in execution. If I squint my eyes, hold my ears, and use my imagination this is a great series, but if I do that I don’t need the television.
Three episodes in and still don’t care about the characters. Master shots are low quality CG and costumes look like a weekend blitz at Joannes fabrics. This matches the level of writing, editing, and acting. It’s a solid B across-the-board and not pretending to be anything else.
