Hope Forever

Rarely does Bollywood present South Indians in main stream roles. So, this movie was a nice pleasant surprise. In Hindi movies, if South Indians appear it’s usually with a heavy embarrassing accent for really cheap comic effect. The cultural richness of south is never presented in Hindi movies. But this movie made a deliberate effort to bring out the culture and traditions of the Tamils. The mainly North Indian cast and directors have done an awesome job. Being a South Indian I braced myself to be disappointed but I very much liked the direction & production. Only small negative is that the movie dragged in some places. I am happy that the propaganda machinery of Bollywood, that has been polarizing the country, left this movie alone and let them make a genuine romance movie.
