What Jamie Li said. Possibly the most ridiculous film I’ve ever seen. Gave me, my wife and kids a good laugh, none of us could take it seriously after the first ten minutes.
From the random space monkeys to the unexplained lunar hoodlums, to the ‘have to go to the moon first to get to Mars’, to the close fly past of Saturn to the one dimensional performances by Jones and Pitt.
The absolute cherry on the cake was floating through an asteroid belt with a tea tray to protect him, then riding the nuclear / anti-matter explosion home. Just totally ridiculous from start to finish. I can’t work out whether it’s serious or meant to be a send up. From the other reviews it seems like it’s meant to be taken seriously. Surely not?
