I think it's a great collection of age old oral tradition of Bengali Folk tales. Especially because it was written under the British rule and it was honestly a noble attempt on the part of the author and the patron to gather all the narratives. The illustrations by Goble would give you something to think about later when you're done. The ones I had heard from my Thamma and dida aren't much different from the stories that are collected here... And these tales are quite dark I'm afraid. I wonder how I used to find certain things to be normal as a child.

I liked it. They worked really really hard. And I'm completely in love with a scene or two. Voldemort's story has always haunted me. And I'm quite happy with what they've produced. I particularly liked the casting for Tom Riddle. I liked the music.
