This movie is scarier because of what you don't see than because of what you do. The sense of mounting dread throughout keeps you on the edge of your seat. By far the most fear-inducing parts come with the main character's dawning realization that the unseen enemy he is facing is clearly intelligent and not something he has ever encountered before. I still think about the scene with the deadfall trap with a shiver.
