This adaptation is an epic fail. Somehow, even using 2.5 hours for half of the first book, this movie cannot manage to tell the story. I truly don’t care what happens to this Paul, even though Dune is one of my most beloved book series, which I’ve read multiple times. I’d rather invest the weeks it takes to do that read again than spend another couple hours suffering through this empty, yet self-important nonsense.
