Deppheads United

An absolute triumph! If you love history, science, and beautiful cinematography, then this is the movie for you! The only reason I couldn't give if 5 stars is because it is EXTREMELY long! Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing but I would keep it in mind when making plans to watch it. I do think it could have been quite a bit shorter, but with how long it is I do wish it had some faster paced scenes. One last thing before I get to the good stuff, keep your audience in mind if you and someone want to see it. Obviously it's not for younger kids, I'd recommend 17+ of course depending on how mature they are. I saw it with my mom, and while she liked it for the most part she was very upset with the nudity and sex. It didn't bother me, because I understood that it was important to the story and Oppenheimers life. Just a heads up this might not be the flim to see with your family, unless they understand sex in flim and won't get offended. This flim was AMAZING! The acting was superb! Especially Robert Downey Jr. Who really stole the show with his epic performance, I'll be honest I wasn't wild about him as Ironman, but he really shines in this flim. The effects are beautiful, very creative, and really help the story along. The score is phenomenal! It is so elegant and powerful at the same time. The cinematography is flawless, I especially loved the black and white scenes, it definitely helped give the flim depth. Overall I really recommend it for anyone who finds this kind of flim fascinating , trust me you won't regret it!

This was truly one of the worst flims I have ever seen in theaters for many reasons. 1. The camera work is abysmal, constantly shaking even when it doesn't need to be. 2. The lighting is extremely bright for the majority of the flim making it hard to focus on the scene. 3. The music is mediocre at best and confusing at worst. Was I the only one confused when they decided to play "Uptown Funk" at the beginning of the flim? 4. The acting was all over the board, the director doesn't seem to know if he wants us to feel sorry for the characters or hate them. I ended up hating them. 5. For some reason the story has little to do with the son and more to do with his awful mother going through her own issues that don't have much to do with her son. 6. Christy Metz character is extremely unlikable, from picking fights with other characters, to making every situation about her. 7. The story is all over the place, you would think that it's about a boy who falls through the ice and is brought back to help by the power of God. But no, that plays a very small role, for the most part it is about his mother going to her own problems and confessing her past mistakes to a pastor. The movie tries desperately to cover, abortion, helicopter parenting, teen adolescents, problems with church, problems at school, and racism for some reason. None of the issues connect with each other in the flim and it just feels like the director wanted to squeeze in as many problems people have as possible to hopefully relate to someone.

I get that they were trying to represent female oppression in the work place, however this dose not go on as much as it did back in the day. I thought it was strange how our girl character was a ball of yarn, I don't know what they were trying to convey through that. I thought the sexual jokes were uncomfortable and very out of place, especially in a Pixar short. Not to mention the a word, which I felt had no place in the film especially if your watching it with kids, which is who primarily Pixar shorts are aimed at.
