I absolutely loved this movie. It is amazing, especially in its particular genre. Reading the description, you have no idea what you're in for. And then even watching the trailer doesn't prepare you for the wild ride of emotions through the entire film. With themes of motherly love and racial bias/stereotyping at the forefront, this movie sets itself apart from others in the genre. !!!!!SPOILER AHEAD!!!!! . . . . . . And I should note, I am absolutely not a fan of vampires. But this movie made watching very worth it.

I went into this movie completely expecting it to be a typical "man hunts extinct animal, man respects animal and leaves it alone" kind of story and I couldn't have been more wrong. Absolutely compelling from the beginning, this movie makes me want more. It was suspenseful and heartbreaking and thought provoking and left me wondering how I'd never heard of it. I can't recommend this enough.

This movie has good actors (mostly), and the potential to be gripping and wonderful. But it tries to pack too much into it's running time and rushes everything. The bare-bones plot is one I'd love to see properly fleshed out. Here, it's tired and predictable, with plot holes that leave you wondering what exactly was the point?

I picked this as one of 3 films i have to watch to a class and I am so glad I found it. What an incredible movie. The acting was well done and the interconnected storylines are so well woven. I loved this. You get so much dimension to these characters and such a well written look into their lives.

I have no idea where the negative reviews come from. Please watch this movie. Not only was it well made, but the story is new and exciting and I'd watch hours more of this if I could. This isn't some syfy channel B movie (tho i do enjoy those train wrecks too, I won't lie).
