Spot on!! Absolute metaphor for where we're at right now. Totally accurate depiction of our politicians, media and 'big business'. If there's anything to be gained from disaster, like ratings, political capital or profit, gain supercedes even life itself. A few laughs along the way and some sense of the seductive nature of 'fame', but the message was loud and clear. Anyone criticising this film is missing the point. We don't hear 'protest' songs anymore. Real satire is hidden. The media fully supports the Establishment and social media only writes algorithms for 'trends'. We're normalising corruption, poverty, obscene wealth and inequality. Once in a decade or so, someone opens our eyes. Adam McKay is this decade's singer!
