Anyone saying this is fantastic needs to go back to Batman Returns the first of the Dark Night Trilogy and see how “dark” is done. This was so dark. Like literally and metaphorically. I couldn’t see half of it and felt like I needed and antidepressant after. The plot was so drawn out and cliché. The characters were thinly developed and boring. I fell asleep twice. I am open to a new reboot, but there was absolutely no excitement in the darkness in this movie. It was 100% melancholy. I wanted to love this, and just was incredibly disappointed after waiting so long for it’s release. It was frustrating. But art is subjective.
