Overwhelmingly disappointing. That's the overall feeling I have after just finishing my viewing of Scoob!. This is not a scooby-doo movie. This is the cartoon equivalent of the Tom Cruise led "mummy"; a sad attempt to build a cinematic universe that is more concerned with introducing new characters for future films than it is with being a good film. They didn't stop squandering the potential of scooby there though. The gang is rarely together and the last 30 minutes or so find scooby leaving shaggy behind both figuratively and literally. This abandoning puts a cloud of depression over the film that frankly makes it hard to watch. Shaggy suffers so greatly and scooby is so oblivious to said suffering that you just want to scream. I'm rambling so I'll wrap it up. However, I can't conclude this without the mention of what can only be described as racism although it does seem unintentional. That said, unintentional is still unacceptable, especially when it seemed obvious it would be interpreted as such when you introduce Captain Caveman but now new and improved with dress and tattoos and an obviously "gangsta" manner of speaking. In short, save your money; Scooby-doo on Zombie Island is 10 times the movie and cheaper.
