Great performances, mediocre storyline, and an ending that makes you wonder why you bothered. Both Bradley and Gaga are convincing at first and you can empathise with their struggles, but her effortless rise and his equally unrestrained demise mean that you feel you might as well be watching the movements of lifts in a shopping centre so clearly are their paths marked. Total waste of time. Can’t understand the hype.
