There's literally a scene where they break the 4th wall about it being a cash grab piece of garbage as if the self awareness excused it. They introduce a new bullet time mechanic and forget about it in the space of like 2 minutes like it was written by teams that didn't talk to each other. Also neo seems to have greater difficulty stopping larger calibre bullets as if they forgot that the reason he could stop bullets was BECAUSE HE COULD SEE THROUGH THE FALSE REALITY! are larger bullets more real? What is real is my annoyance at having my hopes raised and then dashed with another parasitic franchise tag on from a movie industry too afraid to make something original. Normally I don't take the bait but I was like "it's the matrix, surely they wouldn't butcher a classic". Well they will, they did, they will again. Break the cycle, spend your money seeing something original.
