I tried. It was like pulling teeth to get through this book. The characters had no empathy in them or empathy for each other. I found myself feeling bad for the father. Everyone handles grief in their own way but this daughter and son don't have a pulse. The road trip aspect of it drew me in, but even that fell flat.

I had hoped the focus was on crafting, the title implies it, the cover certainly suggests it but it was a long read about her Broadway career and that wasn't really what I felt like reading about. Had she put out a book about her career, while that's interesting, I wouldn't have bought it. Just not my thing. It's a book about her career with yarn on the front. I didn't get how crafting saved her life. Her singing/ dancing/ acting is what drove her.
