This is a story of a couple of kids in McKinley high school, finding they're way. Going through the usual coming of age journey of finding themselves with the help of their friend groups. And Oh My God. There really is nothing else I can say except to WATCH THIS SHOW. Especially if you're young, especially if you're in school, hell even if you're in your twenties. I watched this last night and honestly couldn't believe I didn't watch it sooner. Glad I did tho, I'm planning on watching it again. 10/10. Music, acting, plot, cinematography, aesthetic. It's all there. Unfortunately there's only one season with 18 episodes, (very controversial and objectively WRONG decision) but that just means there's no excuse not to watch it. I don't want to give anything away but you will genuinely love every character the writing is that good. I'm not exaggerating you will love this show to bits. When watching I found myself leaving reality and living my life vicariously through the show, the world building is amazing. Please if you think I'm lying just watch a couple episodes, you will come back for more and slowly but surely you will realize there are only 10 then 7 then 5 then 3 then 1 episode left and you will be heartbroken. *sigh* Such a missed opportunity with this show but with a new cult following, it will go down as one of the best shows in American History and definitely a must see coming of age story.

Don't trust the critics, this film was great. 4 stars just because some of the male actors in this film were weak and the present day moments were uninteresting to me. But Mamaw and Bev were great characters and Glen Close and Amy Adams did amazing.

Watching this 10 years later makes we wonder why this flopped at the box office. Today this would be one of the most popular movies of the year. The acting is so natural and never over the top until warranted. The casting is spot on. The costumes are great. The CGI is amazing. The characters are generally very likable. The editing is at peak quality. And the soundtrack made just for this film is amazing. This was underrated at the time but now I understand why this has such a cult following. 10/10 would and will watch again.

It's considered a classic for a reason. Read the synopsis or go into it blind. This movie needs to be experienced either way. Don't wanna say too much. Catch it when it comes on Netflix.

Really fast and straight to the point. Cute. Awkward. Everything a coming of age story should be. Definitely will binge again. I would recommend because of the length. Can't wait for the second season. The acting is pretty good for this type of series, except for the actress that plays Jenny. Way too animated. Overall enjoyed and if you were raised in a suburban town in the middle of nowhere like Syd, you will love this.
