On the whole I thought it was different enough & enjoyed the fact that Miss Scarlet had intelligent conversations with her dead father (in her imaginations) as all the other males were slow on the uptake. The also managed to put racial & gay issues in Victorian times done naturally. Episode 6 rounded the first season off nicely so I'm hoping the next series, if there is one makes use of the dynamics of Miss Scarlet, & the 2 men in her life to make it more interesting. Also the reason I gave 4 stars is at times it was so dark you could barely see what was going on, I call that style over substance, so more brightness next time please. It's worth another shot!
