Kristen Hannah does not disappoint. The Women is a both an incredible as well as heartwarming story of the nurses in Vietnam during the war. It's a story during a time of innocence when young women were expected to be housewives and mothers, not serving in the war. Kristen Hannah brings Frankie and the nurses to life, living through the horrors of war, and then coming home to a nation that does not acknowledge their service. I laughed with her. I cried with her. At the end she finds peace.
