As a retired teacher who watches this show, I am deeply distressed that the hosts of this show are saying that teachers and unions do not care about the students. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. Many negative comments are made about teachers by people who have NO idea what teachers do in the classrooms, at curriculum meetings, and not only dealing with curriculum but also constant emotional and physical needs of the students. Teachers I speak to would much rather be in the classroom with the students, teaching them the skills they will need to succeed.
