As a person who read a lot of HP lovecrafts novel. I understand how they couldn't capture the ominous nature of his writing in his series . There was very less aspects of cosmic horror integrated into this series . There should have been the existential dread of Helplessness towards the end of the series. Unfortunately everything turned out well. This is far from the Spirit of lovecrafts writing that There is no Hope in anything . This message was forgotten by the directors and scriptwriters. I am disappointed 🙁. Once again by the sheer nature of the genre the method of properly writing cosmic horror has eluded from the thoughts of these filmamkers

It's a thriller. Suspense is erie. But no bloody sea monster action
