In my view this isnt really up to the mark. There is an underlying aura of superciliousness emanating from the character who plays the female detective. The story lines also lack empathy and spirit of social justice. Did not like it.

I loved the first two seasons. The third onward it goes downhill for me. I am amazed why the producers, directors changed the cast. The whole spirit of the show just nosedives.

It is really surreal! Hamish Macbeth, a sensitive constable keeps himself within a closeknit world. Lochdubh, the apparently peaceful village stocks fun, love, mystery, kindness, passion and the typical Scottish fey in its nooks and corners. Macbeth helps preserve its quality and adds grit, patience and mirth.

Breathtakingly sensitive, deep, analytical and emotional in characterisations, scope and techniques. It is just unbelievably natural and engulfing.
