This movie was phenomenal. I can not recommend it enough. It followed its the manga/anime really well. (almost to a T) and beautifully choreographed augmented with its stunning visual effects. Do not listen to the people saying it has a "cliche" story, or "cliche" writing. If you know the source material, ITS SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY. Alita is a coming of age story where the "cliche" love story is in fact what happens in the source material exactly how it was portrayed in this movie! What teenage romance do you know of that isnt awkward or cringy at times? The difference between twilight like romance and this one, is this movie and story line of the romance was intentionally awkward and cringy. If you want the closest anime/manga life action adaption done right like this one, please support it! Help them be funded to make another one! this was amazing and fun experience!
