I'm 71 and my wife 68 and we went to see Mary Poppins Returns at the Rebel Cinema near Bude in Cornwall where we live ... we were both very impressed by the quality of the script, relevant music & lyrics, acting by all of the cast, choreography with the right balance and timings of special effects. The film did more than justice to the original and the songs could be just as memorable as the original ones if they get sufficient plays in the media. We watched the original film over Xmas so we could make a comparison and we consider the latest to be even better than the original which was a classic in its day.
