I am not normally one to get emotional or cry during movies, but this movie did just that. The fantastic acting demanded empathy. The rawness of the characters made this movie feel so real. Unfortunately, school shootings are very relevant in today’s society. We hear about them on the news, but most people have no idea what it is like to be apart of one or to know someone who has been through such a tragedy. The terror, fear, anxiety, grief, and sadness that I felt when watching this movie was unlike any other. Highly recommend that everyone watch the film, no matter your age. School shootings should not just be a topic of discussion but rather a means for change and evidence that something in the system is broken and failing our youth. God bless all who have ever experienced something so horrific. Surviving after an event like this is one thing but truly living and finding a way to cope is what makes these survivors so extraordinary.
