An incredible, shocking, and ultimately horrific read. Everyone who takes medications or knows someone who takes medications should read this book. As an RN it boggles my mind the way the FDA who we trust to ensure that our medications are safe, softballs these criminals. And, these people are criminals, liars and cheats who would prefer to make a profit versus the true calling of pharmaceuticals which is to heal and diminish suffering. We need a solution regarding the cost of prescription medication. The American population wants cheaper drugs but that requires them to be pure and effective. If they cannot be cheaper and effective then we must come up with a different solution. It is better to take no medication than poison, which is what they are making in India and China. It is disgusting and the antithesis of what every health care professional is striving for in patient care. Shame on the generic industry and all of it’s enablers.
