I stumbled onto the film last night (I was just looking to see if it was in our cable cache), and my husband and I were on the edge of our seats through the whole thing. I'm glad the movies was made, and I'm very glad I saw it.

I started this post and then realized that I couldn't remember the name of the young African-American woman that Sidney married and left Grantchester for. I still don't know her name - I can't find it, even with the one picture showing her with James Norton. Anyway, I loved it. The whole thing. I can see how he fell for her. She had a sparkle, a joy about her, and what was there for him to stay for? Amanda and he had gone as far as they could go. And I think it was the combination of this bright, intelligent lady and what lay ahead that Sidney couldn't resist. I teared up over it. I like the way the new season is unfolding. I have a spiritual situation that's a wee bit like Will Davenport's. I loved how Mrs. C came to the rescue, and Leonard Finch just breaks my heart - I hope Daniel stays in his life. In closing, please someone tell me what was the name of the actress, and of her character, that married Sidney? Thanks. PS. The character's name was Violet. That's all I can find.
