How much did corporations lose because of the women's counterfeit coupon operation?
The Coupon Queens cheated as many as 40 major manufacturers (Business Insider). "We're talking about anywhere from $400 to $600 million in loss," said Officer James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Department. "This is to American companies who produced American products and hire American citizens" (DSA).
In the first half, the movie tries to highlight the cliche heist aura which is not at all what this is. You can play this kind of fast-paced positive vibe music in a movie like 'The Founder' but this is a straight heist piece. You just don't show that the criminals know absolutely nothing about what wrong they are doing while showing them launder millions, buying and selling guns and hacking the system. Watch Ozark, the realism itself conveys the weight of the matter. Here corporations are bleeding money because of 2 people while this movie tries its best to show them in a positive limelight.
Moreover, the movie itself isn't good. The pacing is irregular while most of the things are far from the real world considering this is based on true events. I don't think you can make THIS kind of movie on a real criminal incident.
