I started playing fallout 3 and was addicted, I was still playing fallout 3 when fallout 4 came out! I can not say the same for fallout 76. I recently started playing fallout 76 as wastelanders was released. After playing for a few weeks every night I’ve realised this game is online to make money, there’s no other reason! I’ve paid for PlayStation plus specifically for this game, which I was unhappy about to say the least! Fallout 76 is mobile gaming on a PS4, unless you spend real money, every time you play you run out of resources to repair your guns and armour and they force all the vendors to run out of money so you can’t trade! It resets every 24 hours but the same thing happens everytime you play basically stopping you from progressing unless you spend real money! Which out of principle I am not willing to do! Even as a massive fallout fan. The game has the same feel as fallout 4 but the stupid events randomly starting as you walk into an area to do a mission ruin that feel! Even if you complete the event it starts again within minutes? Seriously annoying that you can’t turn events off! The new weapon wheel is absolutely useless, don’t fix what isn’t broken! I find myself scrambling for a weapon and choosing the wrong one multiple times and taking unnecessary damage from enemies! You can’t even pick where you place a weapon unless the wheel is full which it never is because the carry weight is an issue! I haven’t interacted with any other players until I ventured to a scorch queen event and witnessed people standing around shooting it with high powered weapons in pristine power armour! I’m there with a 50.cal machine gun I found and a mismatch of power armour I’ve found all of which hasn’t been repaired. This again is because I refuse to pay real money! Fallout is about scavenging for spare parts and scrap and this game has ruined that. The fact they’ve put a max on the stash box tells me they want you to pay to upgrade it. In essence, this game has turned into something as a massive fan, I do not recognise as fallout. Sure, it’s been dressed up as fallout but the money men are behind it and have ruined a great franchise with greed! Very disappointed as fallout was once a big part of my life and now its not, I shan’t be renewing my PlayStation plus! Happily I only opted for 3 months and not the 12. Bye.
