The two sisters and their father living in France during World War 2 are so beautifully drawn in this book. For anyone wanting to know what life was truly like for ordinary - but so special - people during those dark and awful days, read this book (but be prepared to have lots of tissues ready)!

Jojo Moyes is an amazing writer and each book she has written is wonderful, but Ship of Brides and The Giver of Stars are in a different legion. Based on true stories gives them both something else. I wanted them to go on forever they were so special!
