It is definitely not a traditional sci-if book. It is a stunning commentary on politics and also makes parallels to our world, more so in the present than when it was published. It does take some time to get through the bombarding of terms and names (though there is a glossary in most editions) but it is a really amazing story. I don’t think it’s for everyone but I really, really like it.

it was as really a super different kind of superhero movie from anything i’ve watched, even the dark knight. i really liked the tone. one of the best comic book movies i’ve watched.
