This is a review from a real person that watched it yesterday. Everyone that is just rating this movie bad or the worst film or they walked out or save your money for something nice are all fake reviews and they are copy and pasting or rewording the same negative review. With that said I’ll just keep it simple. It’s a good well made horror/thriller movie. Don’t expect a perfect thought out plot or academy award winning performances. Yes it’s told from a flashback point of view from different characters that lead up to the final, yes it’s not perfect story…yes we could have been told more about the crazy aunt background..or what in the world was the meaning of the gun. But we don’t get those answer instead we get a very interesting movie that has a good pace for 2 hours long. Some funny scenes. And the crazy ending- honestly she deserved it. Just watch it and enjoy it and let’s stop over analyzing horror films. The movie either works or it doesn’t. 👍👍

It’s worth the watch. I love horror movies but seemed to miss the boat when it originally came out in 2012. Decided to rewatch this since it’s supposed to be the scariest movie made “scientifically”. It’s creepy but not scary. The movie will hold up against to the majority of what’s out there.

The movie was not bad ..it was good. But the story seemed rushed. It missed something. It’s not straight up horror but there’s just a lot of sadness to it. Worth the watch. Saw it on Shudder.

Well...I had high expectations for this movie and it felt short. The comparisons to Hereditary (probably because of props and religious theme) and the Shining (cold weather) are just that but those films were executed well. The movie sort of reminded of those but I was just expecting a lot more. The 30 or so minutes of the ending of the movie things are started to unravel. I did like that act but the storyline could have been much better. I didn’t hate it nor loved it. I sort of got excited to see HAMMER behind. Maybe I just should have watched Parasite? Last good horror film I saw was Color out of Space now that was a good one. I recommend that one!
