Lavender gave me literal chills not for it's slow burns or the rattling noises that one horror film does or the ghosts but for the plot twist at the end. How a person carries the baggages of their past and the way it still haunts them to know about the honest truths! There are people who pretends to be actual victims and the one's who really are victims think that they are the demons. However this film dealt with child sexual assault in a commendable way. Imo, The most trusted individuals turns out to be the cruelest at the end, uncle got what he deserved.

Where's my closure? If you are making a horror/psychological thriller then where are the sparks? Where does the mystery unfolds? The starting was alright and I was getting into it but I was not at all satisfied towards the end. It all got completely messed up. Well, for the record 2stars just because Armie Hammer is a prolific actor and he tried to deliver his best, also I felt sorry for Dakota Johnson, not enough justice to her character either.

I wish to write about it cause this really deserves to be seen by many. Moss, herself is a revolution in cinematic arts. The more I was watching the film the more I was wondering what this going to turn up to. The setting was beautiful and mesmerizing to see. I felt at times the melancholia that Shirley faced in her life time, or the manipulative nature of her husband Stanley. This movie has done justice to the character. I could have given it a 5 stars but I guess the ending left me a little concerned. I gotta give it a second try for good.
