Unbelievably bad on so many levels. Had to keep watching like seeing a train wreck. Like the other reviews I agree it does not get better as it goes on and your just drawn in on how bad movie making can be. Take any aspect, say acting 1 star. Camera direction, 1 star. Special effects 1 star. Story originality 1 star. Script and dialogue 1 star. Supporting cast 1 star. Etc etc

As a fan generally of the various versions for this series of movies, I have to say I'm disappointed with several of the actor performances including Mark Wahlberg. Let's just say Mark should have watched Braveheart before getting into character for this role. His performance is so lackluster and uninspiring. Watching almost any of Mel Gibsons movies probably would have done Mark some good and the audience ultimately. The rest of the cast has some shiners and duds. All in all very surprising this movie had as much comercial success as it did. I would not recommend it to a friend but if you got a couple hours to kill while cleaning house might be ok to have on in the background.

This is the worst. The writers have no clue of human behavior. There are multiple instances where actors do or don't do things that would be done. Or say things. Its not the plot that is the issue. Its each scene. Too many examples of why it doesnt work. They need someone to challenge the script writer in these types of movies.

Not for me. To be fair i didn't watch the whole movie. Tried but couldn't.

Awesomeness! Can not believe the stunts Tom Cruise does himself. Mindblowing.

Mindblown. So with an average rating of 2.6 this movie is obviously not for everyone. Having said that, it was brilliantly and thoughtfully prepared to have a convincing story. Character development and behaviors is outstanding. Somehow, the creator managed to pull it all together where your initial thought is how are they going to make this story work. This is a masterclass in film making for originality, cinematography, directing, acting, story, screenplay, etc. Its just a really tough subject matter for im sure alot of people probably driving the review scores so low. If you're into very intense, mindblowing creativity with a tough subject then this might fit the bill. If not, probably best to move on.

Every step and scene way too predictable right down to the ending. Its nice to have a story that has some plot twists and originality and this movie has neither. Having said that, they did do a nice job with the special effects on the bullets. And acting generally was decent. It just really feels like the story writers are film school students without much original thought.

This is one of those movies that has the good, bad and ugly. The dinosaur special effects and action scenes are what drives this film making 1 billion in the box office and are great. Unfortunately for those of us that like movies to have a good storyline and dialogue and characters doing things that makes sense it falls short. There's just way too much nonsensical chatter while the characters life is at stake. Its stupid and would never happen in real life. It really detracts from the movie's progression.

This is probably one of the most terrifying shark movies out there. Finally, a shark movie with a realistic story line and actors doing what would reasonably be done as to most others that have unrealistic actor actions and dialogue. Extremely well directed, edited, and a masterfully written and filmed. It is the water version of the Blaire Witch Project so if you didn't like that you likely wont like this. Its the one time the shaky camera works in a film. Too many bad horror films with directors shaky camera syndrome and this perspective is applied to the right affect. This movie gave me chills.

Part of my 4 stars for this movie includes the added joy from reading the reviews for this movie. I love the reviews sarcasm that the cgi is on point...that is too funny considering i have drawn more realistic gif cartoons on my ipad. This is one of those movies that is so bad it starts to be good just from how bad it is. The best part of this movie is the music and soundtrack which is actually cool in places and would give that 5 stars."we'll never make it"...dialogue is too funny. Its like that geico chainsaw Halloween commercial...look it up on youtube if you dont know the reference.
