Garbage movie made by garbage people. What would happen if we called black people "the most dangerous animal on Earth"? But they can make movies crafted with hatred and bigotry and nobody says anything. Because you're oppressed. You're oh-so-oppressed!

One of the finest films in recent year. Ironically (perhaps unironically) timeless and meditative. We speculate on death, but it's rare to see death speculate on living. Truly original and moving. Perfect score in a year that really needed a good movie.

Lake Mungo is a horror film that is composed almost entirely of restraint, sleight of hand and red herrings. Much like in real life, things don't happen in any hyper-theatrical way. Everything is subdued and the film carries it themes of grief and secrets flawlessly with this style. Lake Mungo is a horror masterpiece and is deserving of dissection and study.
