This movie is slow, feels disconnected and loose ended. It is also interpretative, gothic, minimalistic and eerie. It's a great recipe for an experimentative, unconventional and poetic telling of a story. For much of it, one will enjoy the atmosphere it creates, the predictable yet classic plot twist it tries to unravel and the mysterious sub-textual connection the three women seem to share. So much more could be explored through the characters, the narrative device of story-telling and some technical improvements. However, this movie didn't work for me because, besides some fundamentals, like connecting plot points, it also does a mediocre job with the characters it creates. I loved the imagery, the symbolism and the gothic context it sets.
