Once you enter the world of Outlander you will be pulled in--much like the main character, who falls into a time warp and cannot forsake the people she meets in Scotland 1755--least of all Jamie, whom you can't compare to anyone else, least of all her spouse (back) in 1945. The series opens on the last day of WWll in Europe and it just doesn't let you go. Be prepared to me awed, shocked, amazed and enthralled. This show has no parallel (other than Mad Men, Downton Abby, The Crown, The Sopranos and Breaking Bad) for quality and intensity (it's nothing like those shows in terms of subject on the surface). And, the costumes, scenery and everything about the production is worth the ride alone.
