The explosions in this film would make Michael Bay moist in the pants. In other words, expect explosions, A LOT of explosions. At times, the score can be a bit over dramatic and can ham up a scene. You may be also exhausted by the intensity of the fire that never seems to stop attacking. Which, if that was the point the director was trying to convey, Kudos. If not, then this is a prime example of too much of a good thing.
Pros:
- The fire scenes are intense.
- You'll feel for some of the characters and moments.
Cons:
- 2 hrs is a bit long to show a fire being put out.
- Cheesy score can be a distraction and overbearing.
