Such a thoughtful and thought provoking book. Gentle and very well written. It captured the frustration of clever working class women with their almost complete lack of opportunity. And the effect of war but such a subtle but very real way. A terrific read and I am sorry I have finished it.

Great use of whimsical humour and beautiful acting by the little boy to really pack a punch. A film that will stay with you. Worth seeing, definitely. Rebel Wilson never puts a foot wrong.
