The final scene just about redeemed an episode that would please only the devotees. A mixture of the predictable and the cringeworthy. Highlight was Nessa singing Fairytale of NY (although marred by cheesy crowd reactions). Of all the improbable (borderline stupid) storylines it's a dead heat between Dawn and Pete's cannibis encounter and Smithy/Sonia incredulous pairing. Some would that Gavin and Stacey's retracing their early relationship was the most cringeworthy. I wouldn't argue with that.
