I’ve seen many reviews saying this book is not age appropriate and too much. I’d bet these reviewers are not POC. It seems like a lot for a baby to reveal the way the world really works, but if said baby is Black or brown, they need and deserve the enthusiastic unapologetic truth. I love this book. I’m a white lady with a white one year old and I’m thrilled to start teaching him the important detailed hard truths of race in this country.
