A romantic comedy in the best sense. The direction and the acting, in particular, are carried off with sustained wit, grace and style. The characters are rich and varied. I can’t think of any - main or supporting - who are cardboard cut-outs. I am writing at the end of episode 8 where (and please correct me if I’m wrong) I was surprised to see Pat and Pa’s dorm room number as 444. But I’m not worried; this show keeps drawing from the wellsprings of love and humanity. It doesn’t get any better than that.
