I liked this film about the Sicilian bandit who seeked independence and land reform for Sicily in the post war years and 1960's. The action involves the Mafia and the Italian state. The highlight of the film is the mass shooting of pro-Italian peasants in a town near Palermo. The Mafia was also involved as well as the Italian government of that era. Giuliano is still considered a hero by many. See for yourself
