As a collector of hundreds of 2000ad comics in my childhood, I couldn't have imagined a Dredd movie this good. The drug gang setting and violent dystopian future is not as far away as the source material suggests. Karl Urban and Olivia Thurby are outstanding and the brisk pace makes this an ultra violent sci fi classic that you will watch again and again.

Brilliant in every sense. As funny as it is, the acting is superb and the pathos created by the clueless, middle aged rockers - who are struggling to face the fact that they have long lost their fame - is genuinely touching.
