As a stand alone film this wasn't bad. A decent murder mystery. However, even Christie herself would not have recognised any of her characters particularly Mrs. Oliver and not even Poirot himself. A far stretch from Halloween Party. I think Mr Branagh has been more than a tad self indulgent.

Well worth a watch. Interesting peek at a dark period of Irish history. Well written with believable characters.

Hugh Grant and Colin Firth were alphabetically the wrong way around today. May have cost them the jackpot!
