Great video game family movie! Awesome action sequences, funny and sad moments. Jim Carrey played the bad guy role extremely well. Sonic was adorable. James Marsden was a cool hero.

This is actually an inward journey into the main character's psyche. McBride has developed a strong defensive logical and almost emotionless sense of denial in order to cope with his father leaving him and his mother for new life. This is actually a representative of humans always searching for a better life when everything they need is right in front of them. McBride deep down felt abandoned and shame for his father's absence and therefore enveloped and over achiever personality, not realizing he was becoming his father by placing his spouse last and his work above everything. McBride yearned to "save" his father but in actuality was wanting his father to save him by acknowledging his failure as a parent. McBride yearned to be released of his shame and guilt. McBride hurt everyone around him throughout his false sense of mission. He was never responsible to save his father. But by him reaching out to him despite so much pain and guilt reveals his willingness and desire for love and forgiveness. His father had too much to mend and just as he was on the brink of taking his son with him into empty space, he commanded his son to let him go and break the curse, revealing his love for his son.

This movie revealed scenarios in which the human spirit is placed to endure against life's inevitable struggles such as terminal illness, parenting, loss of family, trauma and relationships. Morals and values are brought to the brink of despair by dishonesty, deception, and financial struggles. Ultimately it is through loss where we either submit with anger and bitterness, or envelope our soul with love and forgiveness. Our ability for compassion can be amplified by our nurturing relationship with a canine companion who yearns for nothing more than our ability to love unconditionally.

We will never have enough Time with our loved ones.

Good movie for entertainment purposes. No biography movie will ever be 100% accurate especially when those involved were high and waisted most of the time. Some scenes were for sure sensationalized and exaggerated. But then again I wasn't there. The documentary on VH1 was better. This was a tribe of wild nomadic barbarians thirsty for lust, greed, and power. They conquered the 80s without hesitation nor remorse. The only force that conquered Motley Crue was themselves in the end. Long live sex drugs and Rock and roll.

A story about forgiveness, redemption, suffering, and bravery. To become bitter, angry, and hardened is expected in the land this story takes place. To carry on with dignity and hope is the true challenge. This journey was about deliverance.
