I wanted to like this so much. I love Disney+ properties like Andor, Mando, and Ahsoka (not to mention pleasant surprises like Tales of the Jedi). I can't say the same for this dreadful entry into the Star Wars universe. I'm not going to spend any time on acting, script, or plotline, which lacked plenty. This did not in any way, shape, or form FEEL like Star Wars. The cinematography is just plain awful. Every scene has the same lighting, no emotional pull or tone setting whatsoever. The score was equally bad. The CGI was so bad even George Lucas would've scrubbed it from the special editions of the original trilogy. It really feels like a B production for the CW. I honestly cannot think of any redeeming characteristic for the show other than the fight chorography, which was worthy of the franchise. Even little things like the sentinel Jedi just walking around waving his (beautiful) yellow lightsaber after the threat was over in the cave in Episode 1. Maybe I was just fed up, but this felt like a dead end from the very first scene. Detox with some John Williams and Empire and move along.. Edit: this show is getting more fake positive reviews than negative. It's actually this bad.
