The story from the beginning was awesome and immersive. The new mechanics they added to the game were on point and I enjoyed them a lot.
However, during my playthrough I encountered at least 4-5 glitches within the story especially during Act 3. Savepoints are one of those glitches of where you collect components and they appear as zero when you pause the game and side missions can be reset to before you completed them.
When the developers decided to make Gears 5 open-world they obviously didn't take any notes about organizing main missions and saving because during Act 3 I went to an unknown location of where it turned out to be part of one of the mains and after that I went to do sides then I did the other main one. Chapter 3 came and I was supposed go to a location to progress the story but couldn't because the navigation was glitched and when I went there the game got stuck and turned out that there was an order to those main missions I had to do so I had redo almost everything.
During the 4th and final Act, you're faced with a dilemma that's life AND death, which didn't make any sense to put in a game like this and the way they closed off the campaign barely makes any room for a sequel. Seriously how would that even work knowing what they make you do in the game?
Anyway, overall I gave the campaign a C+ just because of what I had to go through in this playthrough it could have been done a lot better. Still enjoyed most of it though. Multiplayer is better than the story so far.
