An amazing re-boot of the Yamato story (aka Star Blazers). True to all elements of the original series, but more mature and turned up to 11. Multiple story lines, great character development, excellent animation. This series has it all. I have not seen an English dub of this yet (just subtitles) - and I can't figure out for the life of me why that is the case. With all the nonsensical, trite anime that makes it over here to the USA, I can't believe nobody has put some resources into doing a proper Eng. dub and a little marketing for Yamato 2199!!
